US warns EU that Russian troops may invade Ukraine
- ecf 5y agoAt this point I’d almost consider getting drafted for WW3 an improvement over applying to SWE positions with this absolutely broken hiring system.
- _abox 5y agoThis is very worrying. Especially being in the middle of a gas crisis here in Europe. People are facing 3-4x as high gas and electricity prices when their contracts expire! It's already causing mass protests. PS: Annoying site with constant popups to subscribe :( But at least it's not an actual paywall.
- dzhiurgis 5y ago> Belarus, a close Russian ally An ally? They are ran by Russia, playing exactly same game as NK and China.
- hulitu 5y agoRussian troops could invade xxx. American troops could invade yyy. News at 11.
- icedistilled 5y agosemi-disguised Russian troops already invaded ukraine and annexed parts a few years ago. It's not a random xzy, it's the xyz that they already invaded parts of under a pretext of "rebels". And it would have big implications for europe.
- landemva 5y agoWestern Europe has economic resources to pay to defend itself. Let's stop policing where it can be done by the locals.
- icedistilled 5y agoThat's like a whole different topic, this article is about the US warning the EU that Russia invading Ukraine is a big possibility. If one's goal is to stop the US getting involved, then the US giving the locals a heads up so they can be adequately prepared would be probably one of the best actions. Not sure what the problem with this info sharing is unless the unstated goal is to have Russia blitzkrieg Ukraine with the least resistance.
- simonblack 5y agoEngland may invade the US to get its territory back. And then again, maybe not. Bloomberg is a site for 'millionaire wannabees'. If you listen to them, they'll take all your money, and leave you worse off than before. But hey, go ahead. "After all, it's your money, Ralph".
- icedistilled 5y agoEngland didn't send poorly disguised troops into US and annex various parts of its territory a few years ago. And england hasn't had troop buildups along a US border. The equivalency is false.
