  I think here in the UK the Bank of England will be harshly criticised for failing to recognise and respond to the signs of inflation soon enough. The price of petrol per litre stands at over £1.40 why have they been complacent for so long?

    I'm not so sure any country has a good handle on it right now. The US is in a pretty miserable situation, which means all the countries that rely on us are in an equally bad if not worse position. How else is the rest of western Europe handling this?
