I think this shows what standpoint Google has in this: The dislike button is not supposed to be used by the user, but rather the creator. You as a user should watch the video no matter what and then rate the creator, not skip it if you see a large amount of dislikes.

No, thanks. I use Youtube for technical videos and videos pertaining to certain tasks and the dislike ratio is nearly always an indicator of whether or not the video is misleading, incorrect or uninformative.
