Does ES6 make JavaScript frameworks obsolete?
- smt88 5y agoI was excited to read this and disappointed that it makes an incredibly weak argument, if you can give it credit for saying anything at all. The tl;dr is that the (pretty non-revolutionary) syntactical upgrades in ES2015 will wean developers off of libraries like React. It seems like the author (not a programmer, as far as I can tell) fundamentally misunderstands the purpose of modern frameworks and libraries like Angular 2+ and React. They're a combination of code organization, state management, and DOM manipulation. The new syntax in ES2015/ES6 has absolutely no bearing on whether people use those libraries anymore.
