I lived in Antofagasta from age 2 to 4 and visited many times during my teens, one of the most beautiful sightings is the flowering of the desert. Very hard to forget those vast patches of purple.
- davidw 5y agoI was joking with my wife that we should move to Arica for the climate - it looks about perfect, with no rain and moderate temperatures. She likes things like 'trees' and 'grass' though, so ... no deal.
- helloguillecl 5y agoSantiago would be quite what you are looking for. Plenty of trees and grass :)
- davidw 5y agoThe nice thing about Chile, like California or Italy to some degree, is that you just go further north or south to change the climate settings. I am not sure living there is in the cards for us, but I would love to visit.
- helloguillecl 5y agoPing me if you ever want to visit. I'll help you make a personalized plan.
- mbustamanter 5y agoSeconded, it barely rains now and it has plenty of trees and parks (in the east side of the city though).
- jaredxmoore 5y agoYou will get trees in Arica the closer you get to Valle de Azapa, but probably not what your wife is looking for.
