The upsert strategy mentioned (using ON CONFLICT to update instead of insert) is something we use internally quite a bit, esp in multi-insert transactions which were horrendous to handle without conflict resolution because any conflict would end up cancelling the entire transaction. Though I wish there was an easy way to figure out how many times "CONFLICT" actually occured (i.e how many times did we insert vs update).
