France already has 80-90% of electricity supply being supplied by nuclear. It also exports an enormous amount of power to other European countries. I don't know exactly how true this is but I believe gas usage for heating is much rarer in France than other countries. They have a lot of electrical storage heating due to the cheap off peak baseload that nuclear gives.
