The real page layout for tomorrow will be the CSS Template Layout Module imo, which has now been rolled into the CSS3 CSS Grid Layout module that should ship with IE10. (Yup, IE10 will be the first browser with a proper CSS layout system.) http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css3-grid-align/ http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css3-grid-align/
In the mean time, the slightly older Template Layout Module is available as a jQuery plugin that would make an excellent basis for a truly semantic, separate, and A/B test-able grid system: http://code.google.com/p/css-template-layout/ http://code.google.com/p/css-template-layout/
