Pfizer CEO calls people who spread vaccine misinformation 'criminals'
- version_five 5y agoWhat does he call 'misinformation'?
- WarOnPrivacy 5y agoAddressed in the article, in a link within this quote: Bourla’s comments come after a Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) poll found that 8 in 10 Americans believe or are unsure of at least one false statement about COVID-19.
- version_five 5y agoJust want to point out that your reply doesn't clarify anything, just because you posted a quote doesn't mean you in any way addressed the fundamental (rhetorical) question.
- WarOnPrivacy 5y agoYou asked for specific examples misinformation. I pointed you to the link you missed - that pointed to specific examples of misinformation. I suppose a link to exactly what you asked for was insufficient. Well, okay.
- xyzzy21 5y agoAnything that negatively affects his company's revenue and thus HIS BONUS. He's a piece of unethical shit.
- rasz 5y ago>The claim: The CEO of Pfizer canceled a trip to Israel because he "hasn't been fully vaccinated" https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2021/08/09/fact-check-pfizer-ceo-vaccinated-israel-trip-canceled-march/5524692001/ https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2021/08/09/fact... >It’s true that Bourla canceled a trip to Israel due to his vaccination status.
- h2odragon 5y agoThat doesn't leave a lot of room for "evolving understanding as more study is made" which may come back to bite, later.
- WarOnPrivacy 5y agoIs true. What we keep learning about the life changing medical issues following Covid infections - that is genuinely biting us hard.
- h2odragon 5y agoI'm so old I remember when these vaccines were supposed to prevent infection and transmission. I even remember when these same vaccines were "Unsafe experimental treatments being rushed for the election" and anyone doubting them would "be muzzled, they’ll be suppressed, they will be sidelined" for political reasons.
- WarOnPrivacy 5y agoI get it. Vaccines are reported to reduce the risk of getting and spreading the virus, which they absolutely do. Misinfos make up some alt claim about vaccines and pretend that's what we were originally told. As far as agenda-driven anti-vax techniques go, it's a worn-out one.
- onecommentman 5y agoAnd I consider the leaders of companies who accept (require?) financial liability waivers on potentially dangerous products from which they receive direct financial compensation and large financial profits “cowards”. Other public health and safety industries don’t require such “air cover” when making major contributions to society. Why is big Pharma so…fragile? So, umm, where does that get us?
- xyzzy21 5y agoExactly so.
- guidovranken 5y agoThey also published this related Tweet: https://twitter.com/pfizer/status/1458184495530758146 https://twitter.com/pfizer/status/1458184495530758146 It is the wet dream of megacorps like Pfizer, who would sell you the air you breathe if they could, to make it acceptable to ostracize or criminalize critics of their products. Be careful.
- Arnt 5y agoA statement can have several traits simultaneously, for example "being critical of Pfizer" and "being a lie". The former does not excuse the latter.
