Here are the additions to ~/.vimrc in case anyone is interested (this after installing vim-plug https://github.com/junegunn/vim-plug#unix https://github.com/junegunn/vim-plug#unix and running :PlugInstall as per goyo instructions:
set wrap linebreak nolist
call plug#begin('~/.vim/plugged')
Plug 'junegunn/goyo.vim'
call plug#end()
