- 1cvmask 5y agoWhistleblowing is arbitrary. If you are doing the approved "whistleblowing" you will be handsomely rewarded. If you are doing true whistleblowing plan on packing your bags and leaving everything behind. You will be enemy of the state. The only two countries you can hope for "safe" sanctuary is Russia and perhaps China. It does not matter how big the crimes you expose are or whether they are illegal and unconstitutional. In fact the corporate media and their corporate journalist state mouthpieces will slander you as well. For lives ruined from whistleblowing look at tortured and imprisoned Julian Assange and Edward Snowden who had to flee the autocratic Obama.
- nathanaldensr 5y agoThat's true, but we can still appreciate whistleblowers being courageous, even if their absolute level of courage might be lower than that of Assange and Snowden.
