- reverend_gonzo 15y agoWe have. If nothing else, look at what's happened with communication. We have 3G cell service on the top of Everest. We have internet access to almost everywhere in the world. Every civilian can have a device which tells him his exact location down a couple feet. We've put landers on Mars. We've deployed the Hubble space telescope. We're on the path to having commercial space travel. Maybe these things aren't as breathtaking as a video of a man walking on the moon. That doesn't mean there hasn't been progress.
