Interesting discussion/debate. Broadly speaking, I think a country’s culture/politics shapes attitudes about work, the purpose of a company, etc.
In America at least (no surprise!), branding workplace as family just comes across as disingenuous at worst, and naive at best.
Would love to examples counter examples from America where work-as-family is not complete bullshit.
