Why just communities be forced to accept everyone? Or even be nice?
When in a group of friends we can often times not “be nice” however because we know each other, we understand it comes from a place of love.
Perhaps it’s a military background thing, but exclusivity has its benefits.

- tomc1985 5y agoBut that goes against the current zeitgeist where you absolutely must love everyone (except your political and ideological opponents)... or else!!!
- cma 5y agoRace-based hatred as been taboo for quite a while, starting big after WWII. It isn't current zeitgeist.
- Taywee 5y agoWhy are you immediately assuming racism?
- cma 5y agoMaybe I'm misreading what he is getting at. Is it more of a politeness is bad thing?
- tomc1985 5y agoI'm trying to point out the hypocrisy of a cultural impetus to be super inclusive towards everyone, except the people you disagree with
- skydhash 5y agoBecause opinion is transient and can be changed on a whim, unless what is part of the identity of the person (physical apparence, religion and other cor values). Being exclusive only reduce cohesiveness.
- account42 5y agoRace-based hatred is still accepted in many places as long as it is towards the correct race.
- redis_mlc 5y agoCRT is racist against white people - it's the whole point of CRT.
- Kaze404 5y agoBecause we're not friends.
