- onion2k 5y agoThe user has to perform an action to initialise the Generic Sensor API, just as they do with sound. That's just a click or a keypress, but you can't get sensor data without it.
- krono 5y agoI can access some basic sensor data on default Edge without any confirmation. All it takes is some sneaky activation hidden in a navlink. Motion Sensor: Allow (default)
- onion2k 5y agoSure, but that's still a user action. The point is that the browser can't read anything simply by the user landing on the page - the user has to do something to enable it, even if they're not aware of the consequence of that action. This stops most malicious usage.
