Tell HN: /asknew Has Been Created

Ask HNs are my favorite part of HN. It was a hassle for me to go through /new looking for just posted Ask HN threads. /shownew already existed, so I requested @dang to create /asknew. And he did! /asknew, at least for now, will only show posts that are in the HN server's RAM. It won't go back beyond that. Thanks, dang!

  It appears that the distinction is "text posts"; Most of those are Ask HN but not all.

  Ask HNs will be the majority in /asknew. Tell HNs and some unflaired & linkless posts will end up there, but I'm fine with those. /new is a big firehose.

There are many games that you mind more stronger and healthy. My child was suffering from this disease and I was fully worried about this. I found that game by one of my friend. Great addition! I didn't know about /shownew before, and seems it's not listed at /lists either, could /lists maybe be updated to contain all the new pages @dang?

Cool. CoolCoolCool... @Dang may we also please have the following as has been asked for YEARS: (My HN Account is like ~14 years old or something... Pre-Dang days even.... I humbly request: Remove the "you're posting too fast" or at LEAST reduce the cool-down - its freaking WAY Too long. Or like the comment karma before being allowed to downvote - change it. (whats the current downvote comment limit?) --- And please allow me to set "open in new tab" for all links in my profile. The timeout setting prevents good threads at times and the impetus for continuing a thread quickly atrophies once you get that stupid message. At lease removel it for accounts of certain ages or karma or Good'Ole'Boy Club?

  You're getting that because your account is rate limited. Haven't we discussed this more than once before? Your account is rate limited because of your penchant for breaking the site guidelines outrageously and extremely. You haven't done it in a while so I'll take the rate limit off for now, but for cthulhu's sake please don't revert to doing that again.

    Thanks. We have discussed it, my thing is that in valid threads with great comments that rate limiting stifles convo... Sorry for getting too passionate - but I have since limited my imbibing of passion for great justice.

You're getting that because your account is rate limited. Haven't we discussed this more than once before?
