I'm not sure why but it seems that most of my "interviews" end up with me asking lots of tough questions along with the reasoning behind my questions. I end up leading the discussion. I don't have numbers but it seems I get offers when I take the lead and ask tough questions about the business, what challenges exist, and how the interviewer deals with them. Anecdotally when I've been passive in the past I've not moved forward in the process.
On the flip side, when doing the interview and when I'm answering/explaining something to a candidate, I'm not really able to think ahead to the next tougher question in a chain of questions. I wonder how that impacts my assessments. I used to do 3-5 interviews per week, it is a shame I didn't take notice of this and compare to the group's consensus and outcome.
