The populace had hated rich people since the dawn of mankind.
The anomaly is what we are witnessing right now, with people trying to cheat their way into the Forbes 400 opposed to cheat their way out of it by concealing assets using nominees and family members as a proxy.

- GDC7 5y agoThat's just the exampler. Bottom line: Rich people have been seeking to hide themselves for the whole entirety of our specie, only in America they feel the confidence to come out in the open and advertise themselves and their riches.
