As a teenager, I got so into BBSes at one point that I started calling the long-distance ones just to see what was out there. I didn’t know what I was doing to some degree. One month I ended up generating a bill of something like $300—not exactly a fun thing to explain to a parent.
Soon after that happened, we signed up for a traditional ISP with unlimited hours.
