Computers still aren't people: USPTO says no legal personality[2021-02]
- danschumann 5y agoThe word person-"ality: related to, pertaining to" a person. An AI... can it be related to a person? When Pinnoccio became a real boy, was he even related to Jipetto then? Even if AI were deemed alive, would it have "personality" if it couldn't be related to a person? Or is "creator" good enough to be related to something? In which case, most of our creations are related to us, even furniture. So probably not.
