When my "friend" is taking up an ICU bed at the local hospital and I die from a heart attack that would have been easily treatable when there were beds available, I care. When I can't get the surgery I need to deal with cancer because the hospital is overstressed dealing with my "friends", I care. Every time the virus infects someone, it replicates millions of times inside their body. If one of those mutations is more contagious and prolongs this pandemic, I care. As other posters have told you, vaccines aren't 100%. I get my flu shot each year and I still don't want to spend time around people who have a cold.
