Totally agreed with you, but I don't even understand why people can't understand your point. It's obvious enough. Taking leetcode for interview is like memorizing all english vocabulary needed for SAT/GRE. Taking CS course in university is like learning how to write an essay properly. Asking engineers to take leetcode for exams is like asking journalists to take the SAT exam. Obviously they will need to study a few months for such things.
