If you look at the data linked elsewhere in this thread it essentially assumes the average African is functionally retarded. That certainly makes it seem like the data may be biased.
- Zababa 5y agoThere seem to be a correlation with a map of malnutrition https://reliefweb.int/map/world/hunger-map-2017 https://reliefweb.int/map/world/hunger-map-2017 which seems also correlated with height https://ourworldindata.org/exports/average-height-of-men_v2_850x600.svg https://ourworldindata.org/exports/average-height-of-men_v2_.... Would that make you conclude that height measure and malnutrition data are also biased?
- jdavis703 5y agoIf IQ is supposed to be measuring innate intelligence and the numbers are actually measuring bad human development indicators, then yes it seems there’s a bias in the data.
- Zababa 5y agoI don't think IQ is supposed to measure the "innate" intelligence, just the intelligence. Things like being malnourished, having lead in your water/food, CO2 levels, etc will make a population less intelligent.
- jdavis703 5y agoI had to re-read some history. Measuring intelligence was initially, as you say about non-innate intelligence. Then the ideas were hijacked by eugenists who do make arguments about the innate nature of intelligence. In modern forms, mainstream practitioners have gone back to the original roots. But there still are modern researchers on the fringe who attempt to make racial arguments.
