It also hurts phone thieves.
Once the device is locked up remotely it's impossible to sell, and you can't even sell the thing for parts since they won't work.
- MichaelZuo 5y agoThis. Every iPhone owner gains some tangible value from every disappointed thief. And this will rise as more and more of the userbase converts to totally locked down phones. Cumulatively over every user, that seems to be a huge value add.
