I'm a big fan of Discord in terms of the tools that it has and even the implementation in a lot of cases. I really like the fact that it marries text, voice, and video in a way that is fairly seamless. I say this putting all complaints about performance and occasional unreliability to the side. Of course I would much prefer an open source and decentralized solution whenever possible. I'd really like to see Matrix/Element take off but at the moment it doesn't feel as polished.
