Because people like living close to other people, and living in a human-dense environment makes this a lot more practical and easy. I don't understand what is there not to understand? You do know that some people are social creatures right? To me it's the exact opposite. If I could live anywhere in the world, why the fuck would I not live in a huge city like NYC. It's a no brainer. The only argument right now is that I don't have a job there and I can't afford it.
