Is there something like Excalidraw but "drawn" with keyboard instead of mouse+keyboard? I'd really prefer not to use my mouse as much as I can.

- ethanbond 5y agoYeah I really want a design tool that’s built around a CAD or vim-like keyboard input mechanism
- idorosen 5y agoThere’s dotty, or pgf/TiKZ in latex.
- kolla 5y agoyou want etch a sketch? https://jenniferdewalt.com/etch_a_sketch.html https://jenniferdewalt.com/etch_a_sketch.html
- themodelplumber 5y agoI like textdraw from my distro's repo. It's very basic and probably not for everybody but I usually use r for rectangle, t for text and l for line, then copy and paste or screenshot.
- escot 5y agoIm making that at least for graph editing: https://www.knotend.com https://www.knotend.com Its a general purpose DAG/flowchart editor completely optimized for keyboard shortcuts. No need to touch the mouse almost ever. Like excalidraw you can use a basic version immediately, no account. I recommend watching the 1min video and checking out the keyboard shortcuts menu because its a bit different from other flowchart editors. 1min tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPR0samb194 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPR0samb194
