Private space stations will soon be in orbit
- samstave 5y agoWhat legal issues arise in Private Space Stations. If you murder people on your space station, are you subject to the country of your citizenship's laws, or perhaps the laws of your victim? If I hire a Space Admin from EU or India, and I don't open the Pod-Bay Doors, who prosecutes? If I eject workers from my space station into LEO, Who is going to investigate? Space Force? Is the space station under the same laws as ships in international waters? If I shoot down a private space station from orbit, or shoot down the rocket to launch the thing, Where does that fall? I mean, if there were vigilantes against billionaires, they'd be sinking Yachts in Monaco and crashing planes in Glasgow.
