Astronomy decadal plan being released tomorrow
- peter303 5y agoIts a great way to allocate scarce money by having researchers rank themselves each decade. I was recently heard several decadal proposal talks. Its the post-docs dream machines "what I would build if someone gave me a billion dollars". Its a young person's game in that it may take 20 years to build and deploy a space probe. One said note is the prime project from TWO decadals ago- the Webb telescope- has still to be deployed. I believe its arrived at the launch site for launch in seven weeks.
