Saw an ad that you can now finance a Dominoes pizza over 6 weeks. Financial literacy is not high in this country (America)

    To be fair, we've done self financing (credit cards), for a while now. But true, absurd.

    I see this everywhere now. I think it is built into shopify/whatever they are using. Food/items/tools/coffee/anything. Go to checkout and there is an option to break up that $15 dollar purchase into 6 payments. Whaaa!?! If people are actually doing this because they do not have the $15 to purchase something, off the internet, we have bigger issues to tackle.

      probably Afterpay or another BNPL provider

    There are companies that will offer that on anything you purchase. And I do mean anything. Though if you didn't pay, would they really go through the trouble of collecting on the debt.
