Unfair? Toyota Launches Ad Campaign Opposing EV Tax Credit Scheme
- josephcsible 5y agoI think Toyota is doing the right thing for the wrong reasons here. The UAW requirement is absolutely completely unfair, but I don't think that's why they're really doing this. I think they're really doing this so that they can stay competitive with their ICE cars for longer. (Remember, this is the same company who ran the "self-charging" commercials.)
- incomplete 5y agoOP here... yeah, i agree w/both points. the union thing is what it is. :\ but toyota missed the electrification boat, big time. my guess is that they're trying to extend the hybrid-based runway until they get an EV program ready to go.
