Tesla recalls 11,706 vehicles over Full Self-Driving Beta software bug
- gbil 5y agoI was a bit hesitant to keep the "recalls" without quotation marks in the title since practically this isn't a recall as we know it, the issue is fixed already through another software push
- rvz 5y agoSo 11,706 Tesla vehicles have installed 'LSD' instead of 'FSD' and now their neural networks are all messed up and the software was acting funny. Even before that, it is no wonder the reports of this FSD beta had the software mistaking a yellow traffic light with the moon or one nearly driving straight into a wall. Oh dear. Now that it is fixed, perhaps we need to discuss having an equivalent for 'hugops' for releasing bad system software updates (especially safety critical ones) and the rush from the developers to fix it.
