People's personal goals and preferences aren't exactly aligned with company success. It's nice when they match up, but... For example, I prefer not working to working. I think most people are like me. And, yet, work needs to be done. This isn't an idle thought. People find other people friendly when they don't make them work very hard and don't hold them accountable to objective goals.
