Slightly off-topic but I deleted my Instagram yesterday. I was really holding out for one person who almost refuses to talk to me on any non-FB property but...oh well. I'm glad to be rid of it, but I can't shake that it's somewhat meaningless and I'll miss the many content creators I followed who have earned my business. I wonder if there's some way to follow them in a way not tied to my identity.
- wizzwizz4 5y agoThere are several Facebook and Twitter proxies; perhaps there's an Instagram proxy with an RSS feed?
- mirkules 5y agoWhat do you mean by FB/Twitter proxies? Is it what it sounds like, service to access FB/Twitter in some kind of anonymous mode? And could you name a few?
- wizzwizz4 5y agoYes. There's https://nitter.net/ https://nitter.net/ for Twitter. Can't remember the Facebook one, or the other Twitter one. There's also https://teddit.net/ https://teddit.net/ (and another one) for Reddit.
- benrapscallion 5y agoThere are: just Google “instagram bridge”. I use one of them - a bit slow but fine otherwise.
- seoulmetro 5y agoCreate a new Instagram account and follow them? Instagram is anonymous.
