Imo low tech does not have to mean low availability, low tech website to me is a static website hosted on object storage with some cloud based CDN infront.
- sexy_seedbox 5y agoYeah, but how green are some of these CDNs?
- INTPenis 5y agoWell then it's a green website. The low-tech part in the title is misleading because it can mean so many things to different people. In this case it's actually green, off grid but complex and relatively high tech for the setup process.
- icebraining 5y agoPretty green. An advantage of running very large infra is that it makes sense to spend engineering time optimizing energy use, even in a fully profit-driven sense.
