  I think there should be a term for the phenomenon when a term becomes popular and loses it's meaning from all the new people using it wrong. Like how everything is a zero day now.

    I think we should co-opt an existing word and use it wrongly so it loses it's meaning and becomes the word for the phenomenon you described.
