I mean at the end of the day the pad itself is just a piece of capacitive plastic or glass. It shows that Apple with its gobs of money can pay engineers to work on the unsexy bits like the touchpad drivers. Meanwhile libinput on Linux is still immature and I can't blame anyone for that.
