  What makes you think that the node community has a well-thought-out rebuttal to a mostly academic debate about whether ideal threads could perform as well as events?

    The great thing about this paper is that it goes beyond academic debates over ideal threads, and actually writes code and runs benchmarks. The debate here is practical.

      I realize that for most people, "academic" is synonymous with "moot," but all systems papers have experimental results.
