Everyone already has pretty good immunity to their own bacteria, so it's mostly others poo they need to watch out for. Secondarily, the biomes of the astronauts will merge on earth if they are spending lots of time in close proximity training. How much they merge, and whether this shared biome is enough to render pink eye not a worry is a little beyond me.
- nabla9 5y agoYou get pink eye (eye infection) also from your own rectal bacteria when it gets into eyes. Wash your hands after going to toilet. Coliforms and fecal streptococci in feces are the main causes of eye infections. Even in small amounts getting into eye is enough.
- ipspam 5y agoFrom personal experience, I must disagree. Pink eye is not something you get from yourself, except in extreme circumstances. Pink eye is something you get from others, as a general rule. I'm a dirty human. I should know.
