- DanBC 5y agoA letter from the Office for Statistics Regulation is a pretty big deal, and Dr Jenny Harries (chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency, which replaced most of Public Health England in 2021) needs to pay attention to this.
- robthebrew 5y agoI totally agree. We are in the midst of a pandemic which is being tested for (presence, not illness) of unprecedented proportions. This valuable information must be broken down into useable trends, or else we fall into the trap of relying on data that does not match actual epedimiology.
- h2odragon 5y ago> includes rates per 100,000 which can be used to argue that vaccines are not effective. Was this statistic problematic before "it could be used to argue that vaccines are not effective?" Cuz It sure sounds like "change the numbers to avoid denting our narrative".
