Something that is not explicitly mentioned in this piece, but that I think is probably a large contributor to why Mr. Buffet found success with this path:
It is very difficult to be wrong while you're reading. It's much easier for someone who's actually talking to you to show you that an opinion you hold is incorrect. And you can't improve at anything without learning when you're wrong.
- marcellus23 5y agoThis doesn't make sense to me. You can learn that you're wrong from a book. All it takes is reading a book that holds the opposite opinion you do — much like talking to someone who holds the opposite opinion.
