Those are very popular among tourists as you have beautiful countryside, mild weather, great food, clean air, and amazing sites to visit all around. Friend of mine bought a vacation home there (small village in Tuscany) and an invite is much sought after to go exploring the Tuscan countryside. I can see someone wanting to live there, especially if they work remote. The main problem is really lack of english, but for a young person Italian is pretty easy to pick up.
