Judging from my youtube recommendations there are a number of brits/germans/etc moving to northern Sweden to buy cheap but now crappy houses that need a very large amount of work (foundation work/insulation/fixing various rotten wooden parts/sometimes even roof leaks/etc). They seem to be seeking a homestead/off-grid kind of life. I'm kind of skeptical on how they'll survive the coming winter, but we'll see. :) Good for them if they're able to fix those houses, I guess.
