Jailed Kremlin critic Navalny wins Sakharov Prize, EU's top human rights award
- 1cvmask 5y agoThe ultimate irony is that the first Sakharov prize was given to anti-apartheid and anti- white supremacist activist/politician Nelson Mandela (branded a terrorist by the Clinton administration when he was awarded the prize) and now they have given it to the white supremacist Navalny (with ties to neo-Nazi groups and the Russian March) now. Mandela is probably turning in his grave now. https://www.salon.com/2017/04/02/dictator-vs-democrat-not-quite-russian-opposition-leader-alexey-navalny-is-no-progressive-hero/ https://www.salon.com/2017/04/02/dictator-vs-democrat-not-qu... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sakharov_Prize https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sakharov_Prize https://www.rferl.org/a/navalny-failure-to-renounce-nationalist-past-support/31122014.html https://www.rferl.org/a/navalny-failure-to-renounce-national...
