- renewiltord 5y agoIf n new collisions are possible when adding a new object to a population of n, that means risk increases quadratically (far sub-exponential). I’m pretty easy to convince that the risk is sigmoid and the early part looks exponential. But this justification does not lead there.
- tomp 5y agoOops yeah, you're right, brain fart on my part.
- djenendik 5y agoAre you referring to N choose 2 possible collisions?
- freemint 5y ago> risk super-exponentially Sorry, wrong: very much sub exponentially in fact quadratic Sum_i^n i = n(n+1)/2
