I had lasik 6 months ago from Dr. Goodman in SF, and am extremely happy with the results. It was definitely on the pricier side ($6.5k), but well worth it. Takes a good 4-5 months to heal completely. For the first month I had halos at night and dry eyes, and my vision wasn't quite perfect yet in my left eye. After about 5 months, all of these went away, and my vision in my left eye is 20/20, and in my right is slightly better than 20/15. Also, the initial recovery is very quick -- you're supposed to sleep for a couple hours to reduce the pain, but after that, you can get right back on a computer.
