At least with Uber you know how much you are going to pay and that the price is fair/market price which is not always the case with taxi drivers. Not to mention I had some really bad experiences with the taxi drivers(in Spain) trying to switch the banknotes given...you can't really appreciate Uber enough until you find the "right" taxi deriver(s)
