- karaterobot 5y agoThe article is about how we work more today than people did before the industrial revolution, both in terms of average hours per day over a year, and days worked in a year. My point is that you can't compare the life of an ordinary worker today to the life of an ordinary worker in the distant past, because the kind of work being done is so different. Working more hours and days today is easier than working fewer hours and days in the past.
