In my world, Cmd-F means Fullscreen.

You mean Cmd-shift-F? I haven't experienced Cmd-F as full screen in any mac apps I've run across.
In Xcode cmd-shift-f means "find in project", never used it to fullscreen an app but I might be missing something ;)
