But according to other, viewable sites: 1) This is a trial balloon, i.e. the Biden administration is considering this and will see what the reaction is like. 2) It only applies to families separated from their children at the border, so this title (only on HN?) is misleading. I would be happy to see families subjected to the trauma of that kind of separation compensated -- it's especially traumatic for the kids. I just hope it doesn't create any perverse incentives for people trying to immigrate to the US. [edit: grammar]
